Tour Itinerary
- Depart from Kuala Lumpur to Medan from KLIA / KLIA 2
- Lunch at Medan airport and ready for check in
- Depart from Medan to Lhokseumawe aiport
- Drive to Takengon with scenic stop at Bukit Salak
- Check-in at DEGAYO Chalet followed with dinner at the Chalet
- Breakfast at the Chalet
- Visiting Coffee Farm, Coffee Mills in Ratawali Valley. Experience coffee cherries picking
- Lunch at our coffee farmer’s house
- Hands on coffee cherries pulping and coffee parchment removal (Milling)
- Washing pulped coffee cherries (which had been through overnight fermentation process)
- To wash the fermented mucilage of the coffee beans
- Drive to scenic point of Pantan Terong to enjoy the view of Takengon and Lake Laut Tawar
- Drive around the coffee farms area and stop at a shop to enjoy fruit salad (rojak)
- Back to the chalet and rest. Dinner at the Chalet
- Breakfast at the Chalet
- To enjoy the scenary of Lut Tawar Lake for the sight-seeing areas
- Drop by DEGAYO coffee’s office and witnessing the Cupping Lab
- Lunch around Takengon town
- Drive to Atulintang to visit DEGAYO associate for witnessing the process of Specialty Coffee processing i.e Natural, Honey and Full Washed processed coffee
- Drive toward Takengon through scenic route and stop at a shop and enjoy Tapioca Treat (Tape) or stop at Pineapple farms to enjoy fresh pineapple (if got time)
- Dinner at Gegarang Café or BBQ at chalet if not raining
- Drive back to Degayo Chalet and spend evening at the Chalet
Optional visit to Medan – observing the warehouse and how they grade the coffee for export
- Breakfast at the Chalet
- Drive to Lhokseumawe airport to catch the flight to Medan
- From Medan airport drive to the town (or ready to depart to KLIA / KLIA 2 if not proceeding with these optional visit)
- Drive to Medan City centre and check-in at Cambridge Hotel
- Dinner at Jimbaran Seafood Restaurant / Bebek restaurant
- Breakfast, check out Hotel and drive to DEGAYO coffee grading warehouse
- Witnessing the coffee beans grading process including suton/stoning and etc
- Depart back to Kuala Lumpur
